About Intel Israel

Intel Israel was founded in 1974 in Haifa as Intel's first development center outside the USA, and in 1981 the first factory outside the USA was established in Jerusalem.

Intel Israel is the largest private employer in the Israeli hi-tech, with three development centers in Haifa, Petah Tikva and Jerusalem, and a leading manufacturing facility In Kiryat Gat, which are all essential for the implementation of Intel's global IDM 2.0 strategy. We have developed and manufactured from Israel technological revolutions that have been changing lives around the world for five decades.

In Kiryat Gat, in the south of Israel, the chips that drive most of the PCs in the world are manufactured for over twenty years. Fab28, one of Intel's most advanced factories in the world, manufactures processors, 5G, and AI products with Intel 7 technology. These days Intel is investing 10 billion dollars building a new Fab in Kiryat Gat, Fab38.

Our development centers continue to take significant part in developing a long line of Innovative products in the areas of compute, connectivity, AI, and cyber security.

As one of the leading companies in the Israeli market, we are committed to contribute to local economic development. We do this through our 11,700 employees plus additional 42,000 in indirect employment, through our significant procurement of products and services from local suppliers, and through exports of $8.7 billion in 2022, representing 5.5% of the hi-tech exports from Israel.
